FFXIV Open Beta Errors 11028 and 11014

So I've been downloading the beta client for about 36hrs. Last night I estimated that it would be done around 6am. At 5am I was awoken by my PC restarting. When I got up it looked like it had crashed. I tried firing up the beta client and I get 1 of the following 2 errors:

I tried running the installer again but it attempts to uninstall the software which I do not want to do at risk of having to spend another 36hrs downloading files again. Has anyone else run acrosss this? I'm going to wait until tonight on the chance that it's just a matter of the servers being overloaded since everyones DLs are probably finishing around the same time.

Also, here is a puzzler. My DL client was upping at about 200K the whole time, but DLing maybe an average of 70K. If everyones client is doing this, where is all the extra upload going?

Download Finished, Running Game, Yay!

So I had to leave the dowload going all night, and then all day while I was at work. When I got home it was checking the files and installing. This took like 3-4 hours. Seriously. This process hasn't changed much from FFXI.

However, since I was able to get my beta key in the morning I was able to start playing the game at around 9:30-10pm when this whole process finally finished.

I was surprised, on the default settings I was able to play with some stuttering of the framerate. My specs are thus:

Pentium Dual-Core E5300 2.6Ghz
4MB RAM (running 32bit so only like 3 available)
MSI ATI Radeon HD 4650

This system did not even get a playable score on the benchmark on low settings. However, it's above SE's minimum spec for FFXIV and it seems to do ok, at least better than I anticipated. I was considering springing for an HD 5770 but I may just keep what I have for now if I can find a sweet spot in the settings where I'm pleased enough with the graphics and performance.

Replying to my own post, update on the FFXIV Installation

I got home from work about an hour ago and I was still having the same problem. I started researching the issues I was having. I found some others with the same issue but a lot of them were convinced (perhaps it was the case for them) that the patch server was down and that's why they were getting the message. I checked http://www.ffxiv-status.com/ and the patch server was up, so that didn't seem to be my issue. With little other recourse I decided to try the uninstall reinstall process. Thankfully this seems to have "reset" the patching process without losing my previous progress, at least it seems that way. It has begun downloading a series of 6 patches now, which I read others mention. Here's hoping this doesn't take too long.
