Release

The English patch was released on November 24, 2009. A walkthrough followed in December to help players navigate the command-driven adventure and its alternate outcomes.

History

The project began in March 2004. Chris RPG reinserted the translated menus and introduction and created an English title screen, but the main dialogue remained. After the project lost its original technical collaborator, another request for assistance was made in 2008. Kingofcrusher approached Filler with prior work in August 2009, completed the insertion, and brought the project to release that November.

Preservation notes

The recovered page references screenshots that are absent from the local source. A preserved set should pair the patch and readme with the walkthrough, while retaining the old /searchingthestars/ address as a redirect. Historical references to Chris RPG should be handled respectfully and preserved as part of the project's provenance.
